"통합 인간 오가노이드 플랫폼: 질병 모델링과 치료제 개발을 위하여"
(Engineering Integrated Human Organoid Platforms for Disease Modeling and Therapeutic Development)

 본 발표에서는 인간 오가노이드 기반 플랫폼을 활용한 질병 모델링과 치료기술 개발 연구 전반을 다룹니다. eBioMedicine (2024, Vol. 99, 104921)에 게재된 연구뿐 아니라, 뇌·장·혈관 오가노이드를 활용한 최신 멀티 오가노이드 플랫폼까지 확장된 내용을 함께 소개합니다. 연구는 장기칩 기술에서 출발하여 장·신경퇴행성 질환 모델링, 질병 메커니즘 분석, 약물 스크리닝, 그리고 신규 치료 전략 개발로 이어지고 있습니다. 이러한 통합 플랫폼은 기존 동물 모델의 한계를 보완하며 정밀 의학과 중개의학적 접근을 가속화할 수 있는 차세대 연구 인프라로 자리매김하고 있습니다.

This presentation covers a broad scope of research using human organoid–based platforms for disease modeling and therapeutic development. In addition to my published study in eBioMedicine (2024, Vol. 99, 104921), the talk will highlight recent advances extending into a multi-organoid platform that integrates brain, intestinal, and vascular organoids. My research spans from organ-on-a-chip technology to modeling intestinal and neurodegenerative diseases, elucidating disease mechanisms, performing drug screening, and developing new therapeutic strategies. By more precisely recapitulating human physiological environments, these integrated platforms help overcome the limitations of animal models and serve as next-generation infrastructure for precision medicine and translational research.
