We are interested in engineering microorganisms based on integrating systems biology and synthetic biology to tackle a wide range of challenges that span from sustainable chemical production (white biotechnology) to human health problems (red biotechnology). We are very enthusiastic in pushing the boundaries of the current understanding of microorganisms and capability to engineer microorganisms as an intelligent machineries.

본 연구실은 자연 환경, 특히 해양 환경을 대상으로 다양한 배양학적 방법 및 분자생태학적 방법을 사용하여 이들의 분포, 역할, 유전체 기능을 밝힘으로써 해양 생명 연구의 원천 재료를 확보하고 지구 생태계를 유지하는 생태적 기능을 이해하고자 하는 연구실입니다.
