이지연 교수

본 연구실은 화학생물학의 접근방법에 따라 생물학적 기능 연구를 위해 활용될 수 있는 다양한 화학 프로브들을 개발하고 이들을 질병진단과 메카니즘 연구에 활용할 수 있는 새로운 기술들로 발전시키고자 하는 연구목표를 가지고 있습니다. 특히 화학과 생물학의 여러 세부 연구분야를 접목시켜 효율적인 질병진단과 치료제 탐색에 활용될 수 있는 프로브와 에세이 플랫폼 개발에 주력하고 있습니다.

My research group mainly focuses on protein engineering to find better enzymes and to develop new functions into an enzyme. In addition, computer modeling is used to identify the residues to be modified in enzymes and organic synthesis to make substrates.
