Abstract
We greatly appreciate the comments provided by Dr. AK Banerjee on our article, and we carefully considered their insights. The authors emphasized delayed physician awareness, adoption lag of published guidelines, and the presence of publication bias as explanations for the increasing prevalence of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). Consequently, they suggested that the apparent prevalence of EoE would continue to rise after the publication of guidelines. We acknowledge that the author has put forward one of the potential factors contributing to the increasing prevalence of EoE. Therefore, we conducted a post-hoc analysis to explore the future prediction of incidence and prevalence of EoE.
