본 논문 “The chloroalkaloid (−)-acutumine is biosynthesized via a Fe(II)- and 2-oxoglutarate-dependent halogenase in Menispermaceae plants”, we present the discovery of the first plant halogenase (dechloroacutumine halogenase; DAH). Halogenated natural compounds like vancomycin, chloramphenicol (antibiotics), etc. are of huge medicinal interest, and it turns out, they are relatively rare in plants.
