A Researcher position is available immediately in the Washington University in St. Louis, Department of Surgery & Cell Biology to conduct NIH-funded research on metabolic liver disease.  We are seeking one candidate who can take integrative and multidisciplinary approaches to translate laboratory findings into clinical applications.  The researcher will learn and conduct experiments collaboratively with senior researchers. Our study models include isolated liver cells, rodent livers, and human livers. We use a variety of research techniques such as biochemical analysis, gene modification, single nucleus RNA sequencing, confocal imaging, and normothermic machine perfusion.  Previous experiences in liver research are desired but not required. Candidates are preferred with extensive experience in immunoblot analysis and/or animal surgery. 

Applicants are welcome from recent MS or PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, pathology, veterinary sciences or related fields.
